The First In-Person General Assembly of the Custom AI Project Successfully Held in Granada
The first in-person General Assembly Meeting of the Custom AI Project, held in Granada, Spain and hosted by the University of Granada, was successfully completed.
Throughout the three-day meeting, the consortium evaluated the transition of the project activities from the planning phase to the active technical development process. Discussions focused on AI-supported customs solutions capable of responding to real needs in different operational areas such as ports, postal flows, and the protection of cultural assets.
As BYS Grup, within the scope of the meeting, we actively contributed to the processes of transforming end-user needs into concrete technical requirements, defining operational use cases for AI-supported customs control, and aligning governance, data protection, and sustainability topics with EU frameworks.
Technical topics such as user interface design, AI-based image analysis, and non-intrusive detection technologies were also evaluated in detail during the meeting. These sessions played an important role in ensuring that the solutions to be developed are not only innovative but also applicable in the field and aligned with operational needs.
In addition to technical progress, the meeting once again demonstrated the importance of face-to-face collaboration and a shared working culture in multi-partner EU projects.
As BYS Grup, we would like to thank the University of Granada for their successful hosting and all project partners for their strong spirit of collaboration. We will continue contributing to the development of AI-supported customs solutions in the next phase of the Custom AI Project as well.
