REPAM Hybrid Event Held at Gazi Teknopark Hosted by BYS Grup

The REPAM Hybrid Event: Resource Efficiency in Additive Manufacturing, organized within the scope of the REPAM Project, in which BYS Grup takes part as a project partner, was successfully held in hybrid format on April 21, 2026, at Gazi Teknopark.

The event brought together project partners, researchers, industry representatives, students, and online participants, providing a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange on the future of resource-efficient additive manufacturing. Throughout the program, approaches that could enhance sustainability and efficiency within additive manufacturing value chains were discussed from multiple perspectives.

Particular focus was placed on how circularity, advanced materials, monitoring technologies, recycling routes, data-driven process approaches, and artificial intelligence applications can contribute to more sustainable and efficient additive manufacturing processes. Participants had the opportunity to follow expert presentations on topics such as material efficiency, process monitoring, circular raw material usage, recycling, AI-supported modeling, and process optimization.

Following the opening speech, the program addressed topics including additive manufacturing technologies and industrial perspectives; monitoring in atomization and additive manufacturing processes through sensors and data; recycling routes from sources such as scrap, chips, powder, and wire; artificial intelligence in additive manufacturing; digital process intelligence and modeling within REPAM; the European powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing perspective; and the socio-economic value, health, and safety dimensions of circular additive manufacturing.

Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Yılmaz, Samira Gruber, Sertaç Altınok, Prof. Dr. Sachin Sopana Salunkhe, Mohammad Hoseini Athar, Lionel Aboussouan, and Luc Plancke participated in the event as speakers.

We would like to thank all speakers, participants, project partners, and supporting stakeholders who strengthened the technical content of the event through their valuable contributions.

As BYS Grup, we are pleased to contribute to the dissemination of studies in the fields of sustainable manufacturing, data-driven process management, digitalization, and AI-supported industrial solutions within the scope of the REPAM. This event provided an important platform for strengthening collaboration between research, industry, and innovation ecosystems, while also increasing awareness regarding resource-efficient additive manufacturing.

The REPAM is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101178659.
