Our STITCH Project Has Started!

The project, which we officially launched on 27 November, is a technical assistance initiative titled “Technical Assistance for Support to Sustainable Industry Transformation in the Key Sectors of Textile, Chemical and International Transport” (STITCH). It is a capacity-building initiative aimed at accelerating sustainable transformation in Türkiye’s textile, chemical, and international transport sectors.

Designed within the framework of the European Union IPA III period, the project aims to strengthen Türkiye’s alignment with the Green Deal, climate targets, and circular economy policies.

The overall objective of the project is to enhance Türkiye’s competitiveness on an environmentally sustainable basis by reducing the carbon and water footprints in textile and apparel production and exports. Within this scope, the project aims to develop policy and action frameworks for reducing environmental footprints in the textile and apparel sectors, link the chemical and transport sectors with these policies, strengthen the capacity of business organizations to provide services for measuring and reducing environmental footprints and test these capacities through pilot applications, as well as increase awareness in the sector about the benefits of environmental footprint reduction.
